This article provides a workaround for the issue where nothing happens when clicking the Sidd desktop shortcut. This issue typically occurs when there is a problem during the Sidd installation process.
Note: If restricted, kindly contact your Lead to coordinate with the Local IT.
- Right-click the Sidd Desktop Shortcut. Click Open file location.
- The File Explorer window will show. In the address bar, click SIDD.

In the SIDD folder Window, there should be 5 items: App.<current Sidd version>, Launcher, Updates, Utils, and settings.json.
If App.<current Sidd version> is missing, we need to apply the workaround. Proceed to Step 4.
- Open the Updates Folder. You will see the Current and Pending folders. Open Current folder and check if sidd.x64<Sidd version>.zip file is available.
- Open the sidd.x64<Sidd version>.zip and look for SIDD.exe with file type Application. Double-click the SIDD.exe prompt to extract it.
- Choose Extract all. The Extract Compressed (Zipped Folders) window will appear, hit Extract.
- Extracted folder for sidd.x64<Sidd version> will be on C:\ProgramData\Laivly\SIDD\Updates\Current. Change the sidd.x64<Sidd version> folder to App.<Sidd version>.

Cut the renamed App.<Sidd version> and paste to C:\ProgramData\Laivly\SIDD.
- Click Sidd Desktop Shortcut and Sidd should be launching.
